Has anyone ever read the manga Naruto? It's currently my favorite (I change my mind a lot, okay?!) ! ^.^
For those who don't know:
12 years ago, a great battle took place within the protective walls of the Hidden Ninja Village of Konoha (Leaf). Even now, memories of the day leave many of the villagers shaken, for on that day, a great and evil Fox Demon (Kyuubi) tore through the village, killing and destroying all that lay in its path. Many brave ninjas died defending their home until finally, the greatest of them all, the 4th Hokage (leader of the villager) stood up and fought the great monster. He, unfortunately, died in the process, but was able to defeat the Kyuubi by sealing it away into the belly button of a newborn infant. 12 years later, the infant has grown into a mischievious troublemaker bent on becoming the greatest ninja to have ever existed, and gaining the acceptance and acknowledgement of every person in the village, especially those who see him as nothing more than the monster sealed within him. "Naruto" chronicles the adventures of Uzumaki Naruto, the boy who will one day surpass all previous Hokages! ^.^
I give it 5 out of 5 stars for artwork, creativity, and plot. The characters are interesting, and the violence is neither tame nor gory. This manga isn't for people who are looking for excessive violence, cursing, or adult themes; on the other end of the spectrum, if you're looking for a cutesy "coming of age" manga with love triangles and clumsy girls becoming heroes, this isn't for you either. But, read it at least once, and you might like it. Currently, chapter 239 has been released.
