Real Name: Eiri Uesugi Pen Name: Eiri Yuki DOB: February 23rd Age: 22 Blood Type: AB SummaryEiri Yuki is quite an interesting character. Having a very stubborn and blunt personality, it's amazing how many women fall for him regardless. As an established writer of love novels, he's won Japanese Literature Awards for his notable skills. He is very critical of anything in writing, and this is probably one of the reasons he coldly insults Shuichi's lyrics. Yuki does not mind isolation and has an expression of indifference and uninterest for the crazy fangirls who pursue him. Yuki is quite isolated in the beginning of the series and lives in a gigantic mansion by himself. He is more dominant and opts mostly for his pleasure only. Upon his first meets with Shindou Shuichi, his dislike for the boy is very apparent. However, Yuki is not dumb, and he knows that Shuichi has feelings for him since their first meeting in the park. For his own reasons, Yuki kisses Shuichi around the second day they meet, even though he once told Shuichi that he wasn't interested in other guys. Yuki has a habit of smoking and drinking, but not too excessively. One may conclude that he smokes to ease the pain of his past, for he's been trying for the entire series to forget the memories. He takes medicine and tranquilizers on a regular basis to help him endure the pain of his memories, but Shuichi's presence and his uncanny resemblance to Yuki's younger self has forced him to slowly recall his past. This is why he was later hospitalized, for his condition had become worse. Yuki tends to push Shuichi away again and again, repeatedly saying negative things to him and lowering Shuichi's spirits. However, Yuki's simply trying to keep Shuichi from harm, since he thinks Shuichi is better off without him. Aside from Shuichi, Yuki has many other people who love him. His sister Mika cares quite a bit about him, but Yuki always pushes her away and does not tell her anything. Mika's husband Tohma also expresses feelings towards Yuki, not only as his brother-in-law, but even more at times. It seems Tohma may have a thing for Yuki.^_^ PersonalityYuki is probably the most obnoxious and stubborn character in Gravitation, but there's something about him that makes people like him.^_^ He's very caring deep down inside, although he'd rather be dead than admit that he has any feelings for anyone or anything. There are several occasions where we see Yuki's caring side, such as when he found out that Shuichi had been beaten up by Tachi, the lead singer of ASK, and his henchmen. There's also a presumably homeless cute feline that's often seen outside of his mansion, and Yuki sort of takes care it and feeds it. Yuki was not always so grim and untrusting. He was once a carefree and genki young boy (hard to imagine ne?) but an incident in his past caused him to change. He's a very stong person though, both physically and mentally. Even with memories of his past, he's able to endure it like a man and able to live on. However, the incident does scar him, and he seldom smiles, I think he only did once when Shuichi was trying to comfort him when he was crying. Shuichi was saying something stupid and then laughing hysterically, and that seemed to relax Yuki. You have 1 image of him smiling during the ending credits. He spends most of his time writing love novels, and he's quite good in them too. He's won Japanese Literature Awards and he's very popular in Japan. His love novels have violence and death in them though, he thinks it makes the story more intersting. When faced with the topic of romance, Yuki couldn't be more at a loss. He has trouble finding a decent way to express his love for Shuichi other than ridiculously glomping all over his significant other like Shuichi does. Therefore Yuki tends to insult Shuichi in practically every way possible, constantly calling him annoying, irritating, bothersome, and an idiot. What he does is use verbal irony, since deep in his heart, he really likes Shuichi and finds him "cute." Yuki keeps his promises, as he promised Shuichi he'd take him out on a date if Bad Luck sold a million records (only to K's persistance however). When they were on the date, Yuki did pretty much everything Shuichi wanted, which was a change since Shuichi usually does everything he thinks Yuki would like. Yuki has a kick butt car, I believe it's a Mercedes, because I remember seeing the sign once and it's mentioned in the manga. It's jet black and it can go up to 180mph without doing harm to itself. He's pretty good at basically everything, writing, arcade games, in bed, etc. XD Otherwise, he has some bad habits. He smokes at least a pack a day, drinks mildly, eats practically nothing, never exercises, but manages to stay in shape. Guess it comes with the genes. Yuki may seem like a heartless person on the outside, but he's really a sensitive and compassionate guy who would go far to protect someone he loves. PastYuki's past has scarred him and he is constantly taunted with the images of his past and his sensei. Shuichi's presence has forced him to recall his past and force him to overcome the pains he's endured for six years. There is a reason behind Yuki's stubborn and harsh personality. He's known to give death glares to people he's not fond of, and Tachi Aikawa, a member of the band ASK, once claimed that he has the eyes of a killer. Taking that into consideration, his thought is terribly ironic. You see, Yuki's looks do not resemble those of a Japanese person, and because of that, he was taken to New York to live for a while. It was there that he met Kitazawa Yuki, a cute and seemingly loving young man that Eiri-san soon fell in love with. In a way, Kitazawa Yuki and Eiri-san are a lot like Eiri-san and Shuichi. Back in New York, Eiri-san was a very cheerful and genki little boy, much like Shuichi. He was always running around looking for Kitazawa, his tutor and friend. Kitazawa was more mature and collected. However, Kitazawa has a drinking disorder, and when he's drunk, his personality totally changes from a loveable young man to a uncontrollable fiend. Each time he got drunk, his behavior became worse. It was because of his drinking behavior that caused him to hire men to sexually abuse Yuki for a cheap amount of 10 dollars. The poor sixteen year old boy was indeed very frightened. Yuki ended up killing Kitazawa by shooting him with a gun. Tohma found Yuki just after the shooting and attempted to comfort him by saying that it wasn't his fault... But that wasn't much help, because the deed was done and Kitazawa was dead. Tohma made sure Yuki wasn't convicted, and Yuki was shaken and forced to endure the pain, thus enabling him to become isolated from those he close to him. Yuki came to Japan and started his life over as a writer. He took on Kitazawa's pen name as his own. He truely cared for Kitazawa and killing him was probably the last thing Yuki wanted to do. Therefore, Yuki wanted to forget what happened and supress his feelings. He was slowly forgetting and enduring until Shuichi came along. Shuichi's uncanny resemblance to Yuki's younger self forced Yuki to recollect his past. His condition became worse and his doctor prescribed a stronger tranquilizer for him to help the pain. However Yuki later threw up blood while talking to Tohma, and was hospitalized. In the end though, he tore up the picture of himself and Kitazawa and threw it into the sea. He visited Kitazawa's tomb stone and then went home to Shuichi. Got this info from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/char.php

Name: Seguchi Tohma Spelling Alternatives: Touma DOB: November 20th Age: 32 Blood Type: B SummaryTohma's pretty multi-faceted character, he is the second member of Nittle Grasper aside from Noriko and Ryuichi, he is the keyboardist along with Noriko. He is president of NG Productions, a huge company that supports several J-pop/rock bands such as ASK and Bad Luck. Tohma is used to getting what he wants, he's a powerful character with many connections. He's a very collected and calm character, always greeting people with a warm smile. He is the only person besides Mika to know and understand about Yuki's past. He was the one to find Yuki after he shot his abusers, and he blames himself for Yuki's tragedy. He and Yuki are more than good friends, Tohma thinks of himself as Yuki's guardian. He would go to extreme measures to make sure that Yuki is protected from any sort of harm, physically or emotionally. Yuki is the most important person in his life, he even confesses this. He almost killed Tachi for toying with Yuki and threatening him, and he has told Shuichi more than once to stay away from Yuki after he threw up blood. Tohma's character is very well rounded, he's a very interesting character and one to love even though he can be evil at times. >D He's very formal, he never wears anything else but a suit or a tidy shirt of some short. No baggy shirts and shorts like Shuichi.^^ He seems to be the head of Nittle Grasper, making decisions such as reuniting after the band separated. After Nittle Grasper reunited, he works both as a the NG president and keyboardist. He likes to multi-task though, he enjoys it and claims he's having fun. XD Tohma seems to be good at everything he does...a keyboardist, company president, cook...o.O In addition, he likes to be in control and pretty much has control over everything. <.< He can influence just about anyone, meaning he has certain methods to get what he wants. Sounds like K, doesn't he? XD PersonalityAs I mentioned before, Tohma is multi-faceted and his looks can be deceiving. He may seem to be a harmless Quatre-like character on the outside, but he's very manipulative and deceiving on the inside.^^ He is extremely protective of people he loves, this is especially the case with Yuki. He will do almost anything for Yuki to ensure his protection, he makes Yuki's business his own business. He does what he thinks is best for Yuki, and that's the reason why he *disciplined" Tachi and told Shuichi to stay away from Yuki. Tohma is so protective of Yuki because he blames himself for Yuki's tragedy and he's overwhelmed by guilt and the frustration of not knowing Kitazawa well enough (for Tohma hired Kitazawa to be Yuki's tutor) and letting Yuki endure pain. Tohma may seem selfish or unforgiving, going to extreme measures and giving people something to remember for laying their hands on Yuki. When Yuki's memory started coming back, Tohma was over at his house much more often to talk about his illness and what's best for him. As Yuki cries in Tohma's arms, Tohma is torn inside and he results in revenge for the person who harmed Yuki. You can say that Yuki plays a huge part in Tohma's personality, he more or less shaped Tohma to be who he is. Some of Tohma's manipulativeness comes from being a popular band and company president, but much of his guilt, mistrust, and frustration come from Yuki and his past. With the help of genki Shuichi though, Tohma learns that love is something he cannot manipulate sometimes, and sees in the end that Shuichi really does love and help Yuki through his past. Name: Fujisaki Suguru DOB: July 6th Age: 16 Blood Type: A SummarySuguru is the third member of the band Bad Luck other than Hiroshi and Shuichi. He is a very talented sixteen year old as well as the synthesizer of the band. Although he's the youngest one of the band by a couple of years, he is nevertheless any less talented than the rest. This may be because he's the cousin of Seguchi Tohma. ^_^ Shuichi was very mad when he found out that Tohma had made a decision to recruit another member for Bad Luck. He thought that Bad Luck could only consist of Hiroshi and him. He wasn't any happier upon hearing Suguru synthesize the Rage Beat, in fact, he was shocked. He was shocked that a sixteen year old could be so talented and could make the Rage Beat seem better with the synthesizing. Suguru was very nice and intended to do his best to live up to the expectations of Tohma. Suguru is a smart person who has at least some knowledge with producing music. He tolerates and puts up with Shuichi's rapid mood swings (mostly due to Yuki's behavior) but sometimes enough is enough. He is there when Shuichi goes out of control in front of the press, like the time Hiro decided to leave and Shuichi was going to announce his retirement. Shuichi utterly broke loose and said that without Hiro, Bad Luck would not be able to surpass Nittle Grasper, because..."Nittle Grasper has no guitarist!!!!" Suguru grabbed Shuichi by the collar and started to shake him XDD saying "What kind of stupid reason is that? Hiro-san won't come back because of that!" Besides an angry face here and there, Suguru is pretty much always calm and doing what he thinks is best for the band. He's the one that really holds the band together at times. PersonalityBeing a sixteen year old, Suguru is very talented for his age. Most of the time, he is a calm and collected teen, much more mature than nineteen year old Shuichi, which is kind of ironic. Shuichi couldn't believe how good Suguru was when he first heard the synthesized arrangement of the Rage Beat. Workers of the NG Production Company all ran to hear Suguru's arrangement, and were all thrilled and awed by it. Even Ryuichi-sama was applauding and saying it was awesome. Taken by surprise, Shuichi ran to the bathroom and started tearing the toilet paper out.^_^ Other times, Suguru will yell at Shuichi to get a hold of himself because there's a point where Suguru can no longer tolerate Shuichi's immaturity. Nevertheless, the two are good friends and make an awesome team making music. Suguru first appears in episode 3, when Shuichi slipped on a banana peel and crashed into Suguru.^^ Suguru is a pretty polite, straightforward, ordinary guy, making Shuichi mistaken him for a fan of Bad Luck at first.^^ Tohma recruited him having Bad Luck become famous in mind. He can be a bit demanding at times, pushing Shuichi to get off his lazy butt and practice.XD His goal, as well as Tohma's goal, is to have Bad Luck sell well and become famous. He's quite ambitious and smart. Towards the end, his goal changes to surpassing Seguchi Tohma and Nittle Grasper. He is constantly being compared to Tohma because he is Tohma's cousin and they're both keyboardists. Suguru does have a slight problem with K's ways at first. He did not like how fast Bad Luck was moving, with their first solo concert in two days. The day of the concert, he was forced to play because K held a machine gun to him while he muttered that the artists' opinions don't seem to matter to K. However, he seems to have higher expectations than K. When Bad Luck debuted at number 2 on the charts, K was satisfied. However, Suguru pointed out that Nittle Grasper was number 1. To this K replied that he was acting like an old man. Got info from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/char.php

Name: Shindou Shuichi Spelling Alternatives: Shuichi, Shuuichi, Shindou, Shindoo DOB: April 16th Age: 19 Blood Type: A SummaryShuichi, the star and main character of the show, is a pink haired, super-genki and talented vocalist of the band Bad Luck. Shuichi is usually seen as a bouncy and energetic boy who doesn't quite act his age of 19. While he's not the smartest or the most mature, he comes across as a fun-loving person and he can somehow move others around him. Right from the very start, his appearance captured the fans, as he utters "la li ho!" to his friend and manager/producer. Right away Shuichi's making the viewers laugh with his cute expressions and funny outbursts. But one can see some seriousness in him and how much he loves singing. Tohma and Ryuichi both think of him as an interesting individual. Tohma has never seen someone like Shuichi, innocent and pure, who just wants to love and help Yuki and expect nothing in return. Tohma and K also noticed that Shuichi was a lot like Ryuichi, that goes not only for looks and behavior, but also for talent.^_^ Shuichi's ultimate goal is to succeed as a vocalist and have Bad Luck be a huge hit. Towards the beginning, his wish was only to be second best, as he looked up to Ryuichi and admired him for everything. Shuichi even cut his hair Ryuichi-style and uses the same shampoo as him. o.O He had decided since middle school to be like Ryuichi and sing his heart out. Towards the end of the series, his goal changes slightly. He no longer wants to be second best. He was to shine right along side of Ryuichi. Shuichi is the kind of person who wouldn't hesitate to speak his mind, and he's pretty blunt about it. Considering the fact that he screamed out his proclaimation for Yuki in the middle of his live concert or come up with the most stupid reason for Hiro to return to Bad Luck during a live interview, Shuichi does not hesitate or think about the consequences. However, with the help of Ryuichi, Hiro, Yuki and others, he was able to 'shine' at his performance and succeed as a top vocalist. Whether or not Bad Luck is as good as Nittle Grasper is left for us fans to decide. ^__^ PersonalityAs said before, Shindou-kun is a very genki individual. While he's not brilliant, he's the most fun-loving out of the cast and he poses as a huge comic relief for the series. Shuichi gets quite a few mood swings though, he's easily depressed, as he was devastated when Yuki told him bluntly that he had no talent. He could not finish his lyrics the next morning, causing Sakano to panic and dramatically attempt suicide. Neither Hiro or Sakano were the least bit bothered by the random person telling Shuichi about his talent. Only Shuichi was distressed, but it is the same distress that led him to Yuki. It's his determination to confront and demand an explanation from Yuki that stopped Yuki in his tracks. Nevertheless, Shuichi tends to let his emotions run wild, he can change his emotions with a drop of a hat, going from genki to depressed to mad, mostly because Yuki's done something relatively nice to him and then shot him down again. <.< But Shuichi truely wants to be loved by Yuki, and Shuichi wants to help Yuki without expecting something in return. This is probably primarily how Shuichi is different from Yuki's past lovers. Whenever Shuichi is down about Yuki, he always goes to Hiro for advice. Singing is the only thing that can make Shuichi genki again even when things aren't going particularly well with Yuki. Shuichi is also quick to conclusions and decisions. He assumed Mika was Yuki's girlfriend at first, and he directly refused Tohma's suggestion of a new member for Bad Luck without thinking how he could benefit from it. Shuichi also gets angered quickly by jumping to conclusions, as he slapped Hiro later when Hiro agreed with Tohma that they need a new member. It seems Shuichi was the last to realize that the "flaw" Tohma was talking about was another member. Shuichi initially thought that Hiro didn't like the way they were. But the truth is, Hiro just wants Bad Luck to succeed, and to do that, they have to accept a new member. Shuichi also assumed that a 16 year old like Suguru would not be a good member of Bad Luck. Little did he know of the talent Suguru possessed. Shuichi assumes that a new manager would be unacceptable, but K turns out to be the best manager Bad Luck could ever have. Shuichi has many flaws, but that's what makes him unique and interesting. Got from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/char.php

Name: Crawd K. Winchester Spelling Alternatives: Claude Winchester DOB: August 21st Age: 36 Blood Type: B Summary*sigh* K...he's a interesting one. Now you may be thinking, why on Earth does his name sound so American? ^_^ Crawd Winchester is more commonly known as K, the ex-manager of the famous Sakuma Ryuichi and current manager of Bad Luck. His name is so American-sounding because he is American. He speaks English pretty well, although he does have an accent here and there.^^ K is hilariously funny, he was once in secret service, and his shooting abilities prove no less. He appears in episode 2 of the anime series along with Sakuma Ryuichi, having came all the way from America. He was Sakuma Ryuichi's former manager, but is now Bad Luck's manager whereas Sakano is now only the producer. K has a thing for weaponry and threats. The way he approaches Bad Luck is by bursting in with a handgun and demanding that they come with him. It's a hilarious scene with Shuichi screaming "please spare my life!" He has many connections in the world of music producing, and he was able to reserve some popular places for Bad Luck to perform. K is basically seen as a comic relief of the series, along with Shuichi. He tends to use some interesting methods to get Bad Luck moving and become popular. Without K, Bad Luck would probably never have become as popular as they are now, ans certainly not as quick either. After Nittle Grasper seperated, Ryuichi went solo in the U.S., and it was K who made Ryuichi a popular star in the United States through his connections. K is rather used to doing things his way and his way only. If someone's not cooperating, he'll probably find some way (usually involving weapons) to get them to do what he wants. But he is essential as a manager who does an awesome job of managing Bad Luck and whipping Shuichi back into shape once in a while, especially after a temporary breakup between Shuichi and Yuki. Bad Luck's success is only partly due to K's marvelous connections. The rest is due to K's hard and dedicated work. PersonalityK is basically seen as a comic relief of the series, along with Shuichi. He's known to whip out extreme weapons and blasting Shuichi on the head with a [harmless] granade to get him back in business. XDD K also has a habit of randomly speaking English in the middle of a conversation, like "Big News!" or "Excuse me," partly to ease some tension and be a comic relief.^^ K has no intention of listening to the artists' feelings and opinions about a particular matter. On the day of Bad Luck's fist solo concert, K held a machine gun to Suguru at the keyboard, forcing him to play. XDD K's very dedicated to his work as the manager and doesn't like it when other people make decisions for Bad Luck without consulting him first. The only person that can override his decisions is the president himself: Seguchi Tohma. Managing Bad Luck is probably the most important thing in K's life. When Shuichi announced that he was quitting Bad Luck, K took on a dark look and had a gun to Shuichi's head before Shuichi even finished his sentence.^^ K knew exactly that Shuichi want to quit because of Yuki. If Hiro hadn't stepped in, K would have taken care of Shuichi's problem using his own methods. XD He has pretty high expectations for Bad Luck, so when Bad Luck debuted at number two on the charts, he said that was what he expected.^^ K can be arrogant and tough at times, but this is for the good of the band. K is always collected and in control, while Sakano is flipping out about something. He usually does things his way, and blackmails those that do not go along with his plans. The blackmailing has never done any harm to anyone, although K shows he's not kidding around when he tells Yuki to boast Shuichi's confidence. K is able to force even Eiri Yuki to go along with his plans. He has Yuki bugged and being sniped at in order for Yuki to promise Shuichi that he'd take him out on a date if Bad Luck sold 1 million records. This raises Shuichi's confidence and has him back in shape for Bad Luck performances in no time. Practically everything K does is for Bad Luck's success and popularity, he is a very dedicated to his work as a manager, and his skills prove no less. K can instantly find out a person's weakness and tends to use those weaknesses to make the person do what he wants. If that doesn't work, he'll simply use his handy weapons. Name: Uesugi Tatsuha DOB: December 21st Age: 16 Blood Type: AB SummaryTatsuha's first appearance is in episode 5. He is Yuki's younger brother, who looks almost exactly the same as him except for the hair color.^^ In fact, Shuichi confused him with Yuki when he first met him. XD He has an serious obsession with Sakuma Ryuichi and has all of his videos, gone to all his concerts, calls Ryuichi "my honey," etc etc. He gets a little obsessive on the mention of Ryuichi, glomping the television and all that. XD Tatsuha also has a habit of "trespassing and molesting children," as Yuki put it.^^ Upon his first encounter with Shuichi, he glomps Shuichi and pins him to the floor because his resemblance to Ryuichi. <.< Tatsuha first came to Tokyo to look for Ayaka and to try and bring her back to Kyoto. He sort of disappears afterwards for a couple of episodes and returns at a critical moment for Shuichi, in which Yuki had just proposed to Ayaka after breaking up with Shuichi. Tatsuha helps Shuichi realize that he has a last chance and takes him to Yuki, where Shu-chan does his cute/incredibly dumb thing and somehow gets Yuki to like him again. o.0 Tatsuha can be tricky when he wants to, and he's pretty much a care-free person. He doesn't seem to have much burden on him and he doesn't get on his father's nerves as much as Yuki does. XD Although he's not seen too often, he is a comic relief as well as an important person for the show. PersonalityTatsuha's a care-free, daredevil kind of guy, even though he doesn't seem to get into trouble too much. <.< He's always running errands for his father, but I'm sure he does some devilish stuff behind his father's back. >D Part of his job is to get Yuki's come back home, as Mika's trying to do. He doesn't have much connections, he gets most of his rare Ryuichi stuff from Yuki's connection with Tohma and so on. He's also responsible for bring Ayaka to Yuki, although he doesn't exactly do that in the end. o.o Tatsuha loves trickery and that's exactly what he does with Shuichi and Yuki's relationship. Therefore, he's plays a significant part in bringing Shuichi and Yuki back together. Even though Tatsuha glomped Shuichi due to his resemblance to Ryuichi, he was just kidding around and having fun, nothing serious. As mentioned before, Tatsuha likes excitment and adventure, a rather easy-going person. Got from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/char.php

Name: Nakano Hiroshi Spelling Alternatives: Hiro DOB: August 4th Age: 19 Blood Type: B SummaryNakano Hiroshi is better known as Hiro. He is also a pretty straightforward guy, caring, talented, charming, and extremely brilliant. During a quiz show, he answered every single question right with a terribly bored look on his face. ^^ He is probably the best friend someone could ever have, and Shuichi is certainly lucky to have him as a friend. Hiro is bisexual and was in love with Shuichi in the beginning of the series. When he found out that Shuichi has fallen for Eiri Yuki, he was cool about it. Hiro cares deeply about Shuichi and takes care to let others know that. He once told Yuki that if Shuichi ever has any reason to cry, other than out of his own stupidity, he would never forgive Yuki. After Usami Ayaka came into Hiro's life, he seemed to fall for her. This was confirmed when he confessed it to Shuichi. Hiro is usually calm and mature, but after he started dating Usami Ayaka, he seems to lighten up a bit, going off on ten hour long phone calls and such. Even when he first met her, he went to an all night karaoke with her. <_< Hiro is always giving advice because as soon as something goes wrong with Yuki, Shuichi would come running to Hiro to pour out his feelings. Time after time, Hiro gives him advice on how to sort things out with Yuki, even though he's somewhat jealous of Yuki. As a guitarist, there wasn't much shown in the anime regarding his abilities. He certainly has talent, but Tohma once mentioned that there are better guitarists in NG Productions. Overall, Hiro is brilliant, talented, caring, and handsome.^^ He's a pretty well rounded guy who gives good advice and can be silly once in a while. PersonalityHiro is a well rounded guy. Aside from being a talented guitarist, he's also a genius and a very caring and dedicated person. It was Hiro who saw that Shuichi was in love with Yuki and persuaded him to go and confess his love to Yuki.^-^ Hiro was in love with Shuichi in the beginning of the series, but Shuichi didn't notice until Hiro gave him a huge hint that "he's getting lonely" after Shuichi rambled about Yuki. XDD Hiro did not make a fuss when he realized that Shuichi was in love with someone. But he went to Yuki's place and told him that if Shuichi ever has any reason to cry, other than because of his sheer stupidity, he would never forgive Yuki. He kept his word too, as we see later when Shuichi was sexually abused by Tachi and his henchmen and asked Hiro if it was wrong to love someone with tears streaming down his face. Hiro went straight to Yuki and confronted him right afterwards. As the guitarist of Bad Luck, Hiro is very dedicated to his work. He doesn't like being used, but then again, who does? When K used Shuichi and Yuki's relationship to sell 1 million CDs, he quit Bad Luck because he isn't making music to sell 1 million CDs. He was later persuaded by Ayaka to rejoin Bad Luck, because she told him that if Bad Luck sold 1 million CDs, she will date him. XD Hiro is pretty lenient about K's managing, unlike Suguru, who wasn't as tolerant. He is the sensible one that's willing to back off if needed. He also puts up with Shuichi and encourages the Shuichi x Yuki relationship even though he is jealous of Yuki. All in all, he is basically the smart and mature guitarist of the crew. Name: Ukai Noriko DOB: August 5th Age: 28 Blood Type: O SummaryNoriko is the third and youngest member of Nittle Grasper, she is the other keyboardist besides Tohma. She's a very bright, genki and charming girl who likes to be dramatic at times. ^_^ Her first anime appearance is in episode 8, having been called back to Japan with the revival of Nittle Grasper. She's a pretty minor character, so there isn't much information about her. She loves Ryuichi a lot, he's a good friend of hers. She was called back to Japan by Tohma and she said she came because of Ryuichi. XD She could never hate him.^-^ Noriko has a family. She is married to Testuya Ukai, a well-known professor of Ishigawa university. He is very judgemental about food and is also known for it.^^ Together the two have a six year old child named Saki Ukai. Noriko's relationships with her husband and her child are not mentioned either in the anime or the manga, as I said before, little information is known about her. x.x PersonalityNoriko is your typical anime shoujo. Her first appearance is around episode 8, and her first introduction is a genki and cheerful girl with a girlish voice. She's very confident of herself and never hesitates to speak her mind. =P She is very talented as a keyboardist for Nittle Grasper, she has the ability to play 2 or 3 keyboards all at once. o.O K is the only person besides Tohma and Ryuichi that seemed to know Noriko, most likely because he's been Ryuichi's manager. His relationship with Noriko is pretty much mutual. XD She refuses to let K near Ryuichi, or even touch Ryuichi, because she claimed he deceived and took Ryuichi away to America. =P She argues with K while clinging to Ryuichi. XD K gets frustrated with her at times, with her dramatic ways.^-^ Noriko's also very stylish, her clothes are always more or less revealing. Got from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/char.php

Name: Sakano DOB: September 19th Age: 29 Blood Type: A SummarySakano was both the manager and producer for Bad Luck in the beginning of the series. However, he wasn't so good as the manager, Tohma found Shuichi's behavior intolerable and fired him as a manager. Now, he is only the producer of Bad Luck while K becomes the manager. Sakano's first name has never been mentioned in the anime or the manga, and everyone simply calls him Sakano or Sakano-san. Sakano works under Tohma and obeys his every orders. He is constantly trying to please Tohma with Bad Luck's successes and gets quite nervous whenever something goes wrong. Even as the producer, he makes little decisions on his own and he is always turning to Seguchi Tohma or letting K run the show. The only time that he made a decision without K's consent was when Tohma told him to do so. ^_^ In the end, Sakano does make 1 decision on his own. That is, after he plead for help was rejected by Tohma. When Shuichi lost his voice, he orders a roomful of sumo wrestlers to pile up on Shuichi. Obviously, Sakano thought this would bring Shuichi's voice back somehow. For the most part, he does his job of producing and let K manage the band. Since K has a tendency to go to the extreme, and Sakano has the tendency of making everything seem like a crisis, Sakano is always alarmed at K's bold decisions or Shuichi's rapid changing mood. PersonalitySakano is the spaze king of the show. Starting from the very beginning, he would be alarmed by the smallest mistake. When Shuichi was late, Sakano was nervous. When he turns to see Shuichi sleeping and not listening to him, he turns into a tornado. -.- The next day when Shuichi didn't have the lyrics finished, he tears through the hall and jumps out the window. He does have a reason to worry at times, because there's a slight change in plans and he is always the last one to know about it.^_^ He just wants to be prepared and organized. Moreover, he wants to know what's going to happen next, and that's a bit hard with K in charge and Shuichi to take care of. Other times, he just talks himself into a frenzy. He's a major part of the comic relief of the series, even though sometimes you'd raise an eyebrow before laughing at his outrageous behavior. Sakano really can't handle any major news, whether good or bad. He is always nervous in front of Tohma, fidgeting with his tie, bowing and apologizing before Tohma says a word. When Tohma fires him as a manager, he faints. He doesn't really know how to joke around or to take a joke, he would always tell Shuichi to be serious and tell everyone to be calm before a concert. In reality, he's the only one who's nervous. Sakano is a pretty harmless guy, always over-worried and frantic. He just wants an organized and planned day without Shuichi doing something stupid.^_^ Got from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/sapersonality.php

Name: Usami Ayaka DOB: June 6th Age: 17 Blood Type: A SummaryAyaka is royalty, being the only daughter of the Temple hotel, and her hometown is Kyoto. She makes her first appearance in episode five, almost taken advantage of by some men, but luckily Shuichi and Hiro were near by. Shuichi and Hiro rescued her from the men and took her to dinner. Later Hiro said he would take her to 'safety.'^^ (We find out later that they went to an all night karaoke club) It turns out that Tatsuha has come to look for her after she ran away from home to come to Tokyo and find Yuki. Shuichi unknowningly does Ayaka a favor by taking her to see Yuki, and there Shuichi finds out that Ayaka is Yuki's fiancee. Ayaka loves Yuki, but Yuki does not return those feelings. Yuki's father fully supports his relationship with Ayaka, Ayaka was pretty much forced into marriage even though Yuki didn't exactly love her. Perhaps it's to pop Ayaka's little bubble of hope, but Yuki told Ayaka that he is with Shuichi for the first time. Ayaka is sort of a tool for Yuki, and a willing one too. -.- When the news of Shuichi giving up on Yuki reached her, she told Shuichi that she had accepted Yuki's proposal to her and that his relationship with Yuki has officially ended. Yuki basically used Ayaka to try and push Shuichi away, but as Shuichi proved later, it took more than that.^^ After Shuichi and Yuki's relationship is a little more secured, Ayaka and Hiro began dating^^ since Hiro was in love with her. PersonalityAyaka is a strong-willed, determined and stubborn girl. She ran away from home in order to pursue Yuki and hopefully get him to love her. She refuses to give up and even slapped Shuichi and told him that he had no future with Yuki and that they'll only hurt each other if they stayed together. She told him to stay away from Yuki when she found out that he was living with Yuki. Of course, Shuichi is just as stubborn as well, and counters with yelling "YUKI'S MINE!!" on top of his lungs during a concert. <.< After that, Ayaka pretty much knew she had no chance, and backed off. Ayaka still cares for Yuki though, even though she knew she wouldn't have a decent chance with him. She knew Yuki didn't love her and wouldn't be happy if he married her. She simply wanted Yuki to be happy, and she will let go of him if needed. Ayaka is a strong girl, she is willing and able to let of of the person she loves the most while keeping a smile on her face. She can go forward with her life knowing that Yuki will be happy, although he's not with her. Got from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/char.php

Name: Sakuma Ryuichi Spelling Alternatives: Ryuuichi DOB: April 1st Age: 31 Blood Type: B SummarySakuma Ryuichi is a hilariously cute character that you can't dislike. He is incredibly gifted and talented in singing, and he is part of Nittle Grasper, the legendary band that sold millions of CDs in just two days. He is 31 years old but for the majority of the time, he acts exactly like a 3 year old. After Nittle Grasper split up, Ryuichi headed off to America to do solo works under K's management. Through K, Ryuichi became a star almost immediately. Ryuichi makes his debut appearance in episode 2 with K, having just came back from the U.S. He went to Bad Luck's opening act along with K and Seguchi Tohma. It was Ryuichi who helped Shuichi get through his first opening act, since Shuichi was in shock from seeing Yuki. Ryuichi has a stuffed bunny named Kumagoro, it is super cute and he plays with it all the time. He would use it to cheer people up or make them realize that it's ok to have fun once in a while. He acts as if Kumagoro is a living, feeling, real character,^^ always speaking to it and for it. He acts very cute almost all the time, but when he starts to sing, it looks as if his personality had completely changed, from a 3 year old to an actual 31 year old. Once on stage, Ryuichi is very serious and sings with a great deal of feeling. His performances would leave Shuichi in shock and crying, thinking that he will never surpass the God-like vocalist Ryuichi. Ryuichi thinks of Shuichi as his friend though, and even asked for his autograph.^-^ Overall, Sakuma Ryuichi is the adorable, extremely talented vocalist of Nittle Grasper. PersonalityI absolutely adore Ryuichi's personality. XDD Some people think that Ryuichi is bi-polar, which is an illness that makes the person have an on and off series of mania and depression. I don't believe this is true, since Ryuichi seems to be able to control how he acts and can only act his true self when singing. He is very passionate about his career and protective of his music, and thus, when Shuichi took his place at a concert in the manga, he wasn't too happy about it. XD He doesn't like the thought of Bad Luck surpassing Nittle Grasper either. He firmly told Noriko that Bad Luck will never surpass Nittle Grasper, and in his mind, Shuichi will never surpass him as a vocalist. He sings all of the songs Nittle Grasper has performed, although they're not many,^^ only Sleepless Beauty and Shining Collection. Sleepless Beauty is sung a couple of times in the anime and Shining Collection can only be heard in the OAVs. Ryuichi is also a huge comic relief in the series. He is always around to relief the tension, cheer people up and bring around a good laugh. When Shuichi had a fight with Hiro and was depressed, Ryuichi came along and offered various things in an attempt to cheer Shu-chan up. He even gave Shuichi his prized possession, Kumagoro, the kawaii bunny that he loves to play with.^-^ Ryuichi loves everyone and is very friendly to everyone, even his fans. He feels bad if he's rejected or asked serious questions, as Shuichi did once when he was feeling confused. Ryuichi ended up crying and running off. XD But really, Ryuichi tries to get Shuichi to "shine" on stage and become successful. It was after Ryuichi's conversation and little drawing session^^ with Shuichi that Shu-chan finished the lyrics to Glaring Dream. Ryuichi also helped stall the crowd when Shuichi couldn't get back in time for the Bad Luck concert because he'd gone to New York for Yuki. Because of Ryuichi, Shuichi was able to make it to the concert in time and "shine." Sakuma Ryuichi is a remarkable character. The result of Ryuichi walking past Shuichi and ignoring him set Shuichi in a panic state and loses his voice due to all the stress. Ryuichi ignoring him was the breaking point. However, Ryuichi at least partly caused Shuichi to truely "shine" in his live concert in the end by ignoring him, because Shuichi needed to find the shine within himself and he must do it alone. Shuichi has to figure out how to get Yuki back by himself as well. With a little help from Ryuichi's drawings, Shuichi was finally able to retrieve the 'shine' he had lost, come up with the lyrics to Glaring Dream and get his voice back, thus, Shuichi shone. SummarySeguchi Mika is Tohma's wife and Yuki's sister. She cares about Yuki a lot and is always dropping by to talk to him and advise him of certain things. She is one of the people who know about Yuki's past and advised Yuki about Shuichi. Yuki doesn't like her approaching him so often and telling him what to do. She's also tried to take Yuki back to their parents, since Yuki hasn't been back home for a while and has no intention to return. She is a woman with power and persuaded Shuichi to ask Yuki to return home. She as the ability to get Tohma to do almost anything for her, and she promised NG's full support if Shuichi did the favor. Oddly enough, she seems to be the dominant one in her relationship with Tohma.^-^ Aside from Yuki, Tohma is probably the other person that Mika cares the most about. Although Mika doesn't seem to come in much contact with Tohma, she cares about him a lot and doesn't mind Tohma's 'fondness' for Yuki. Mainly, Mika cares about Yuki and Tohma, and as long as nothing's troubling them, she's happy. With any sort of trouble, she will go out of her way to end sort it out as quickly and efficiently as possible. Mika drives a red car. ^-^ PersonalityMika is very caring and considerate, but she has her limits. She and Yuki are fairly close as brothers and sisters, and she knows him well enough. Yuki used to call her "Mikarin," and Mika knows all kinds of useless information about him^^like how he needed lights in order to sleep until middle school. She's seen all kinds of women hang around Yuki and fall for him, but she doesn't understand him deep enough. She didn't think he would be able to take anyone in for a serious relationship, but Shuichi proved that wrong.^_^ Mika did not approve of Shuichi's relationship with Yuki at first, Yuki usually doesn't not listen to her and thinks she's only there to think of a way to get him to go back home. She tells him that he doesn't know enough about Yuki in hopes of having Shuichi stay away from him. You could say she's very protective of him, maybe even overprotective. The cause of this may be that she's seen Yuki hurt and suffer a great deal, and doesn't want him to go through it again. Later, Mika sees that Shuichi really likes Yuki, and she steps off. However, she tells Yuki to stay away from Shuichi when his memory started to come back. She fears that Yuki will not maintain his health with Shuichi around to bring back his memories and revive his suffering. But in the end, everything works out, Yuki's finally healing, and Mika has no more worries.^-^ Got from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/char.php

Name: Aizawa Tachi Spelling Alternatives: Taki DOB: June 1st Age: 22 Blood Type: A SummaryAizawa Tachi is the leader and vocalist of the band ASK. He's pretty selfish and a sore loser. He can be protrayed as the villain in Gravitation, but his motives were not entirely pure evil. He was jealous of Bad Luck's popularity and continuously threatened Yuki and Shuichi. He even abused Shuichi in order to get what he wants. Although his actions were wrong, he was only trying to help his band and achieve success in the music world. In the end, he does realize that he's got friends like Ma-chan and Ken-kun, who forgave him for all he's done. He also realizes that they can be a successful band even though they may have to compete against Bad Luck. XD Got from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/ask.php#tachi

Name: Ken-chan DOB: July 24th Age: 23 SummaryKen-chan is the third member of ASK. He's pretty much like Ma-kun, concerned about Tachi's plans to ruin Bad Luck and getting the punishment for what Tachi did. Poor Ma-kun ended up getting beaten up by Yuki. Ken-chan isn't shown very much throughout the series either, but he was there along with Ma-kun when Tachi walked out of the stadium depressed during the last episode. They were happy that Tachi's pretty much given up on Bad Luck and they have their Tachi back.^^ Got from: cloverpetals.com/addiction/lite/ask.php#tachi
